Scroll Press is a preprint server that allows researchers to upload, host, and share academic manuscripts prior to peer review. The Service is provided by Leo Torres, an individual based in Germany.

To upload content, you must create an account with a valid email address. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials.

3.2 Eligibility

You must be at least 16 years old to use this Service. By creating an account, you represent that you meet this age requirement.

4. Content License and Rights

4.1 Your Content

By uploading content to Scroll Press, you:

• Retain full ownership and copyright of your work
• Grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to host, store, and distribute your content on our platform
• Warrant that you have the right to upload the content

4.2 License Grant

The license you grant us is limited to:

• Hosting your preprint on our servers
• Displaying your preprint to users
• Creating backup copies for technical purposes
• Distributing your preprint via our platform

We will NEVER claim ownership of your content or use it for any purpose other than providing the Service.

5. Acceptable Use

You agree NOT to:

• Upload content that infringes on others' intellectual property rights
• Upload malicious code or harmful content
• Impersonate others or provide false information
• Use the Service for any illegal purpose
• Attempt to circumvent security measures
• Upload content containing hate speech, harassment, or discrimination

6. Academic Integrity

You represent that:

• All uploaded content is your original work or you have permission to share it
• You have not engaged in plagiarism or research misconduct
• Co-authors have consented to the upload
• The content does not violate any confidentiality agreements

7. Disclaimer of Warranties

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" WITHOUT WARRANTY OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED. WE DO NOT GUARANTEE:

• Continuous, uninterrupted access to the Service
• That the Service will be error-free
• The accuracy or reliability of any content

8. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, WE SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR:

• Any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages
• Loss of data, profits, or reputation
• Any damages exceeding €100

This limitation applies even if we have been advised of the possibility of such damages.

9. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Leo Torres from any claims, damages, or expenses arising from:

• Your use of the Service
• Your violation of these Terms
• Your violation of any third-party rights

All Service-related intellectual property (excluding user content) belongs to us. You may not use our trademarks or branding without permission.

Content on Scroll Press is for academic and informational purposes only. It should not be considered as professional advice.

16. Severability

If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable, the remaining provisions shall continue in effect.

17. Entire Agreement

These Terms constitute the entire agreement between you and Scroll Press regarding the Service.
